Game Overview

You are quilters competing for the Quick Quality Quilters award by working to create the highest scoring quilt!

Throughout the game you will sew a 4x4 quilt and collect patterns to help your quilt score points.

Drag and drop to position cards in your quilt, and select the rotate button to rotate them.

Clicking on the arrows beside your quilt will shift the whole quilt in that direction.

On Your Turn

On your turn you may take 1 or 2 actions:

• CHOOSE 2–3 connected quilt blocks.
• RETURN unwanted quilt blocks.
• PLAN by claiming patterns.

Action Details

When you CHOOSE blocks, drag-and-drop the selection into place, and rotate it until you are happy with their location.

When you PLAN and take a pattern, that pattern card goes beside your quilt and applies at the end of the game. Every pattern can be completed multiple times in your quilt, though a single block cannot count twice for the same pattern.

Patterns may be flipped or rotated for the sake of scoring. If you click on a pattern in your supply, the interface will show you everywhere that pattern has been completed in your quilt so far.

Scoring

At the end of the game, your quilt scores for the following criteria:

• 1 point per premium block.
• 5 points for completion.
• Points for each completed pattern.

If you are playing with the advanced modules, the following criteria also apply:

• 3 points per completed patch (connected patches with matching shapes and locations).
• 15 points for a symmetrical quilt (empty squares count as wilds for the sake of symmetry).

Quilting Assistants

If playing with the Assistant module, you choose 1 of 2 assistants to play with, which will give you a unique power throughout the game. To use this ability, either click on the assistant card or on the button in the interface.

Ending the Game and Winning

After any player triggers the end of the game by finishing a quilt, each other player takes 1 more turn. The end of the game is also triggered if the pattern piles are all depleted.

The player with the most points wins the game!

Assistenten (Spezialfähigkeiten)

Assistenten verleihen jedem Spieler eine einzigartige dauerhafte oder einmalige Fähigkeit. Zu Beginn erhält jeder Spieler eine Assistentenkarte:

• Der Designer: Erlaubt es, beim "Planen" zwei Musterkarten statt einer zu ziehen (man behält eine, die andere kommt unter den Stapel).
• Der Sammler: Erhöht das Handlimit für Musterkarten.
• Der flinke Näher: Erlaubt es, einmal pro Zug einen einzelnen Block aus der Auslage zu nehmen, ohne eine Aktion zu verbrauchen.
• Der Perfektionist: Bonusgelder für exakte Farbübereinstimmungen an den Rändern.
• Der Lehrling: Ermöglicht es, die "Rückgabe"-Aktion effizienter zu nutzen oder Karten im Quilt einmalig zu verschieben.

Spielvarianten

Fortgeschrittene Wertung: Symmetrie & Patches

Für erfahrene Spieler können zusätzliche Punkte vergeben werden:

• Patches: Wenn die Symbole an den Kanten zweier benachbarter Karten genau zusammenpassen, entsteht ein "Patch", der am Ende Zusatzpunkte bringt.
• Symmetrie: Punkte für farbliche oder musterspezifische Symmetrie (horizontal, vertikal oder diagonal) im fertigen 4x4 Quilt.

Team-Variante

Spieler arbeiten in Paaren an einem gemeinsamen großen Quilt oder versuchen, ihre individuellen Quilts so abzustimmen, dass sie gemeinsame Bonusziele erfüllen.

Solo-Regeln

Im Solo-Modus spielst du gegen die "Zeit" oder einen virtuellen Gegner (den "Schatten-Quilter"):

• Der Aufbau: Die Auslage wird wie gewohnt vorbereitet.
• Der Ablauf: Nach jedem deiner Züge werden Karten aus der Auslage entfernt (simulierter Draft des Gegners).
• Ziel: Du versuchst, eine bestimmte Punkteschwelle zu erreichen, bevor der Musterstapel leer ist oder die Auslage nicht mehr aufgefüllt werden kann.
• Herausforderungs-Modus: Spezielle Szenarien geben vor, welche Muster innerhalb eines Zeitlimits (Anzahl der Züge) erreicht werden müssen.

Wertung (Zusammenfassung)

• Muster: Summe aller erfüllten Musterkarten (mehrfache Erfüllung pro Karte möglich).
• Premium-Blöcke: +1 Punkt pro Sternsymbol.
• Strafen: Minuspunkte für leere Felder im 4x4 Raster bei Spielende.
• Tie-Breaker: Bei Gleichstand gewinnt die Person mit den meisten Premium-Blöcken.
• The Apprentice: Allows for more efficient "Return" actions or a one Variants

Advanced Scoring: Symmetry & Patches

For experienced players, additional layers of scoring can be added:

• Patches: Earn bonus points if the icons on the edges of adjacent cards match perfectly.
• Symmetry: Score points for achieving color or pattern symmetry (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) in your finished 4x4 quilt.

Team Play

Players can work in pairs to build a shared quilt or coordinate individual quilts to satisfy shared bonus objectives.

Solo Rules

In Solo Mode, you play against the "clock" or a virtual opponent (the "Shadow Quilter"):

• Setup: Prepare the display as usual.
• Gameplay: After each of your turns, specific cards are removed from the display to simulate an opponent's draft.
• Objective: Reach a target score before the pattern deck runs out or the display can no longer be refilled.
• Challenge Mode: Specific scenarios dictate which patterns must be completed within a fixed number of turns.

Scoring Summary

• Patterns: Total points from all completed pattern cards (multiple completions per card allowed).
• Premium Blocks: +1 point for each star icon.
• Penalties: Negative points for any empty spaces in your 4x4 grid at the end of the game.
