It is as if you clicked hide. You can't go back to the option to reveal the hex. The marker still shows though, like if you revealed it. And if you move into the hex the effect happens. Eg, if it was danger then your ships are destroyed if you move in.
The menu needs to remain open until one of the options is clicked.
