At the end of the first turn, I scored two points for playing a card on an empty display - which is correct. A moment later, just before the hotseat turn notification came up, I saw the +2 pop up a second time, and the playerboard said 4.
When the next player began their turn, the score was correctly set back to 2. -

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.
In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
