I could see the interface, I could not click on anything at all. I was unable to buy a gate. This only occurs using safari on the MacBook Pro. However, when I switch to chrome, I am able to use actions.

I don't have a MacBook, and the game works on iPhone, so it will be difficult for me to diagnose this. Do the gates highlight appropriately? Is there any visual indication that the interface is not working (prior to clicking on a gate)?

If you're able to open the JavaScript console in Safari and give me any error messages you see, that would be extremely helpful.

The gate highlights don't appear at all. The whole game lags pretty bad as well. I can take a screenshot of what I see

The screenshot might be helpful. Any errors in the console are more likely to get me where I need to go. You can find instructions for enabling the console here:

I have the same problem when accessing the game on Safari. Lags so badly the game is almost unplayable. It eventually does load but I get the browser message "this game is taking more energy than normal" or something along those lines. The table number is the secondI have tried playing, the first suffered from the same issues as well. table=128704214

This is from Safari for iPhone, but I also have this problem in Firefox mobile browser on an iPad! Same png images not loading. Clicking on a link loads the image.
This problem has only shown up for the duration of the game I’m in, or during the last few days.
Could it be iOS 14.3 as the culprit (or the fact that I updated to 14.3 in the past few days (not sure)?

Are you able to spectate on Safari? Another user reports no issues in spectator mode, but she may have an older version of Safari or MacOS.

Mogri, in spectator mode, I am unable to load boxtop.png, so, only 1 image unable to load as opposed to 2. 87% progress.
Also! On the main game page, and when loading the “preview window” before even tapping to view the list of tables in progress, the “unable to load” red window appears!

Unable to load game beyond 74% on Safari on Iphone.
Could tell game had started from game history but could not see any game graphics.
I used chat function to speak to other gamers and they waited for me to switch to my PC and I rejoined the same game on my PC with no issue.

I was able to load the game on an iPhone last I tried. I'll try it again.

What model of iPhone / version of iOS are you using?

Same errors on MacBook Pro (v14.0.3) on Safari, but not in Chrome. On the iPad Pro (v14), and iPad Air errors loading on Safari and Chrome.

Super frustrating, especially when I took a rep hit.

Encountering this bug too on SE1 with iOS 14.3. The others in my group on iPhones are also running into this. I see the same errors as in Juice00’s screenshots whether accessing the site in safari proper or using BGA as a progressive web app.

Interestingly, I can reproduce the issue on iPhone Safari -- but not on Studio. Works fine in the development environment, does not work in production. This points to an issue with the minification process and not the original code.

I could really, really use someone who can open the Safari dev tools and tell me what the error is.

I've put out a potential fix after discovering that certain versions of Safari don't allow ECMA5 syntax in for loops (which is crazy, for the record). Can you try again?

I got excited when I saw the post, but alas, no go.

Here are the images from Safari Javascript Console (MacOS 14.0.3), same errors as before on both the mac and iPad Pro.

No Ad blockers. Just standard Safari on all devices.

FWIW BS was working on all devices up until about 2 weeks ago if that helps.

As far as I can tell, the game is loading just fine, but the loader overlay isn't disappearing like it should.

I'm going to add a timer that removes the overlay after four seconds. It seems to work now. Can you test it again?

(Aside: I'm pretty annoyed that this hack seems to be necessary)

Yeah - I'm sorry this is such a pain! I (and I'm sure many others), do really appreciate having this game to play on BGA. Thank you for the work!! Seriously, it's pretty damn awesome.

Anyway; yes, it's working. But, the errors still show up on loading (which is really weird) - they do eventually disappear and I was able to start a game on the MacBook and iPad. Nice work! At least a step in the right direction! :)

I can't do anything about those errors, as far as I know. I recommend you file a bug against the site.
