When TTR was on Steam, Players often specified if they wanted a blocking or no blocking game in the name they chose. I realize there is nothing in the rules about blocking, but MOST players do not block on purpose, just if they need the route.
It's an honour thing, and simply adding Block or No Block to a "Preference" within the game, like fast/slow, player ranking etc we would make the game enjoyable for everyone. I personally dislike blockers and it's not fun to play them.
